Joanne is the Brovaries’ Team Captain
She is 5’4” with an average build and in her mid 30s. She is white with wavy light brown hair that is below shoulder-length, and her eyes are blue.
She usually wears a maroon and white “trucker” hat with nothing on the front, a large faced watch, and a simple silver band: her engagement ring. Her outerwear usually consists of sportswear and the occasional silly short pants. Joanne is the kind of person who is always wearing shorts too early in the season.
Ann is the Brovaries’ Second Base Player.
She is 5’2” with a slender build and in her late 20’s. She is white and her straight dark brown hair with a middle part goes down to her mid-back. When playing, she wears it back in a low ponytail. Her eyes are hazel. Anne has a helix earring in her right ear and has a small tattoo above left elbow. She wears contemporary athletic or street wear.

Boris is one of the Brovaries’ Outfield players.
She is 5’4 with a fit build and in her late 20’s. She is white with long, wavy blonde hair. She wears it back in a loose braid when playing. Her eyes are blue.
She always wears a blue baseball hat that reads, “Dinkelsbühl!”, though she also has one that reads, “PHD”. When playing or relaxing, Boris can always be seen in her Red & White tracksuit, and white running shoes or white construction boots.
Mel is the Brovaries’ First Base player.
She is 5’6 with a build that is curvaceous but / or fit. She has thick legs, and a strong upper body. Mel is an ex-pro athlete and now doesn't train as hard as she used to, so she's gone a little soft. She’s in her early 30’s. She is mixed race (white/black). Her skin is smooth like buttery silk and the colour of a mocha latte. Her hair is brown, and natural, with a short cut. Her eyes are brown. Mel always wears a white ball cap that reads, “Gender Freedom Club”, a gold chain around her neck and contemporary athletic or street wear.

Sasha is the Brovaries’ Back Catcher
She is 5’7” with a Slender/ Fit build and in her early 30’s. She is Filipino Scottish with waist-length straight, dark brown hair and brown eyes.
She has several ball caps in a variety of styles. She wears several bracelets, a watch, and a diamond engagement ring on her left ring finger. Sasha wears clothes that are not very practical. “Never worn to code uniform” and/ or tight fitting leggings or camo pants, and crop tops, often with heels. Sometimes she ties her jersey in the front.
Lee is one of the Brovaries’ Outfield players.
They are 5’6”, with a slender build, and in their late teens. They are caribbean-european or black/white or have caramel skin. Their brown hair is natural, in twists about 8 cm long, and they have brown eyes. Lee has a tiny diamond nostril stud, and two small black hoops in their left ear lobe. Lee occasionally wears a black toque, wears a silver watch band watch, contemporary streetwear... and cool pants.

Zari is the Brovaries’ Third Base player.
She is 5'6" with an average/ athletic build and in her late 20’s. She is Afro Caribbean / Dark complexion and wears her hair natural with double cornrows that come to just below her hairline. Her eyes are dark brown and she has a septum nose piercing. Zari almost always wears a toque. She has several in different colours. One reads “Gender Freedom Club”, another “poutine”. She wears a simple silver band around middle left finger, contemporary athletic or street wear and other than her runners, occasionally wears light brown construction boots.
Beck is the Toronto Blue Gays’ first Base player.
They are 5’6” with an average build and in their late 20’s. They are white with blonde hair in an undercut that is a little longer in front with a side part. They have blue eyes and wear small hoop earrings. Beck wears contemporary athletic or streetwear.

GRASS PAINTER 7
The GP7, the brainchild of first base player Mel, is the 7th in a series of remote controlled baseball field liners. The predominantly black plastic 4-wheeled vehicle has a “foot print” about the size of a piece of paper. This rabble rouser of a vehicle cares less about form; the GP7 is all about function. With not one but two circuit boards, a front facing camera, a grey plastic pipe that runs from the back end to the top of the back end, and some buttons on the right side with secret functions, this grass painter is sure to please. It is currently run by remote control, however plans are in the works to go digital. As Mel describes it, it’s “A grass painter that you can operate from your phone. No more walking the field like an idiot.”
BROVARIES JERSEY
The Brovaries’ logo, on the top left breast of their Jerseys, is a hand drawn cartoon uterus and ovaries. The uterus is a baseball with two wide oval eyes and an open smile. The round baseball uterus wears a ball cap backwards.
The team’s sponsor is the bar, The Public Lass, and on the back of the jersey is a large calligraphy “L” in yellow. Beside it, at top, reads “P.U.B.I.C.” The second line beside the “L” reads, “A.S.S.” Brovaries Captain Joanne did this. She took a little design in university.
